About me
Hello, I am Mikauo, the creator of EDHUTO: The Lost World.
I was born in 2003 in the Netherlands and grew up with amazing sources of inspiration like Peter Jackson’s movie adaptation of The Lord of the Rings and Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda series. Being raised by these marvellous works of fantasy and adventure, it was not long before I knew I wanted to create something fantastic as well. To build a world of your own is a wonderful experience; to explore one made by another even more so, which meant I had to share my fantasies somehow. This book has always been my way of using my imagination and inspiration to create something I can be truly proud of. I want people to experience and enjoy the story I have carefully crafted over the span of eight years. Through all that time I worked hard to write, and rewrite my story until I ended up with something that left me satisfied. I also taught myself how to draw so I can illustrate my book, showing you a glimpse of what I saw as I wrote it. The process was long and there were plenty of obstacles to overcome, so finding motivation could be hard at times. However, I saw it through to the end and am proud to now present you EDHUTO, the fruit of my labour. |
My Ambition
The most important thing for me is to be able to share my imagination, my vision with the world. I want to be able to inspire people just like how previous works inspired me. That is why I have great ambitions for EDHUTO. This series will consist of two trilogies, both of which have been entirely planned out already. It will take time to fully write and illustrate all of it, but you can be assured that I have a story to tell. The Lost World is the first part of this grand adventure and shall introduce you to my world, its characters and the many mysteries they hold.
The thoughts behind EDHUTO
This project began without much of a plan; I wanted to create something and so that is what I did. But as time went on I put more and more thought into this world and its story. EDHUTO is an adventure story first and foremost, it has always been that way and will remain so. The story is not about my struggles or those of our world, its meant to simply offer you a great experience. That’s not to say that no comparisons can be made, but the purpose of my book will always be to inspire and entertain you. There is no single main theme or big lesson to learn, instead there are many smaller moments that are open to interpretation.
